This is an innovative cultivation method that uses height and the latest technology to preserve useful resources for the Planet, such as water and soil, and give our salads and basil the true taste of nature.

In 2018, Agricola Moderna was established in a startup incubator in the centre of Milan. This innovative company was founded by Pierluigi Giuliani and Benjamin Franchetti.

In 2019, we built the first pilot facility in Melzo: 1,500 m² of laboratories, offices, research and development areas and vertical farming areas. Today we are a team of 20 people including engineers, agronomists, operators and managers.

Since 2020 we have been supplying Carrefour shops and the Cortilia e-commerce site with all our products, which reach the shelves just 24 hours after harvesting.

In 2023 we started construction of our new commercial plant, also in Lombardy, in the province of Cremona in the town of Agnadello. The plant will have an annual production of 15 MLN packs and will be powered by 100% renewable energy: biomethane and photovoltaics.
